Reading Comprehension
PRO-C's experts have found some tips for RC. Go through them to score higher in RC:
• Do not read the whole passage with uniform speed. Examples cited and elaborations of stament can be read faster than other part of paragraph.
• Try to comprehend the meaning of individual paragraphs given in the passage before moving to next paragraph.
• Do not waste your time over meaning of any new word in case you do not know it. Read the whole line to make guess.
• Do not read the particular line many times. Same is applicable for whole paragraph.
• Do not mark the answer, in case any line in the paragraph matches with whole question as there may be contradiction at the end of passage.
• It is better to read whole paragraph and answer the question than first read the question and mark answer as in later case you may have to read the paragraph many times.
• Do not be afraid of the length of passage because bigger passages means more explaination then smaller passages.
• Do not give much time in reading passage because it will confuse you more then making things clearer
• Try to comprehend maximum from passage in one time reading and do not allow your previous thought on subject to make inferences rather then the paragraph in front of you.
• Try not to start the examination with RC as initial disturbance in examination room may disturb you.
